Hello everyone. My name is David Damico. I am a recent MFA recipient from the University of Houston where I wrote my thesis on applying Jungian personality theory to type form, entitled “Language As Typography.” I worked as a professional for 15 years prior to grad school. I am also interested in environmental typography and relief printing, letterpress and printmaking. Fate has decreed (long but good story) that I will be moving to LeRoy, NY with hopes of finding a position in higher education or museum/gallery work. I’ve been an AIGA student member for three years and hope to continue that relationship in upstate, NY. I’m looking forward to the move and new environment.

Hello all,
I’m a freelance copywriter, brand strategist, and design writer. I just handed in my fourth design book and have written numerous articles for magazines such as Step Inside Design, Dynamic Graphics, POL/Oxygen, Adbusters, House Beautiful… I’ve also just been commissioned to write a design blog, http://www.regardingdesign.typepad.com.
Just want to ask all you upstate design folks to be sure to send me your news, updates, etc. I’m always looking for designers to interview and design stories to tell, so send whatever you’ve got my way.
Thanks.
