- Student Programming Initiative - Provide Programming that Focus on Student Experience: a) Portfolio Workshop (Fall) and Review (Spring), b) Mentoring Program, and c) Education Support (Money to schools)
- Pros* Programming Initiative (*Professionals, Associates, and Faculty): a) CMYK: Come Meet Your Kind (Gateway Drug, Focus on Pro Experience) and b) Fund Hubs Based on Members in the Area

Transparency
We believe strongly in transparency and open lines of communication between AIGA Upstate NY and our members, therefore, we will be post minutes of all our AIGA Seattle board meetings here on basecamp as well as on the chapter website.

The Take Away
Programming/Events - We’re going to try something new this year based on member feedback, Fund Hubs Based on Members in the Area:
- 6 Education Events ($300 each for 3 hubs for portfolio workshop in the fall & port review in the spring)
- Mentor Program
- Education support ($700 cash back to students)
- Programming for Hubs (approx. $3,000, dispersed through hubs based upon membership in ea. hub)
- CMYK self funded, in each hub
- JDK rescheduled
- Design Show
New Leadership + New Opportunities
New to the Board of Directors (BoD) is Rachel Jenks, overseeing CMYK across hubs. Please join me in welcoming her to the BoD. New Coordinator is Andrew Cardish (Albany CMYK). Please join me in welcome them to the board. Alli McAuley is stepping aside to enjoy her newborn baby girl, Freya. Doug Bartow is slide over to Albany Event Coordinator. Allyson Van Houten is sliding over to Albany Education Coordinator. VP Sarah Burns will overseeing Programming/Events, primarily responsible for contacting our most active members in each Hub to let them know how much money has been allocated for programming in their Hub. Any money made from the event will be kept in that Hubs kitty for the remained of the programming year. Hopefully this will encourage other cities to get involved.
