Congratulations on the publishing!

... but being a designer, working in the times with the proliferating availability of powerful design programs such as photoshop and the rising inclination of the do it yourself.. do you feel this will encourage more bad design to exist in the world and for demand and in turn lead to a decrease in job availability?

Hi All ::

Thanks for the mention! And big thanks to Marj Crum for including our work in her new book. Can't wait to see this on the shelves in October.

@ Randy, Hi!

I think that books like this — DIY titles, if you will — are important in the democratization of Graphic Design, and indeed organizations like the AIGA.

If this book falls into the hands of someone with no formal design training and helps them do their job better or helps them communicate better, that's a huge success. A success for authors like Marj Crum because it places her in a position of authority on the subject.

As part of a formal education Marj's book could be a great intro to design for a future graphic designer, or other communication curriculum.

I wonder what
