July 2009 | Creative Eats Rochester

creative_eats_all_2

We are on the summer schedule, with a lot of people on vacation and working in the garden or yard. We have been receiving inquiries asking about the July Creative Eats so Treasurer Lori Reed has offered to organize this month’s at the Memorial Art Gallery.

The exhibition is of the work of Maira Kalman. She well known for children's books (Max in Love); New Yorker illustrations (among them the 2001 "NewYorkistan" cover); and the book The Principles of Uncertainty, based on her monthly illustrated column for The New York Times.image

This exhibition is made possible by Lynne Lovejoy and presented in memory of Bill Buckett, president of the Memorial Art Gallery Board of Managers, 1996-98 and Upstate design community member.  Image from The Elements of Style courtesy of the artist and Julie Saul Gallery.

We hope you can join us for this Upstate Design Event.
