Mentor

SPARK engages professionals in a short-term, one-on-one mentoring relationship with a design student or recent graduate in our local hubs. If you are interested in participating as either a mentor or mentee for Winter 2012 program, please register below by Dec 23, 2011.

SPARK will begin on January 30, 2012 through April 30, 2012. AIGA UPSTNY will provide guidelines for the mentoring relationship including how to establish goals for the collaboration, and practical advice on activities/experiences to share. However, the individual mentoring partnership will be determined by the needs and interests of the mentee and tempered by the mentor's experience. Space is limited. Participants are encouraged to meet or correspond with each other on a regular basis at a minimum of two hours, two times per month for a period of three months.

Mentees should be a college student or have graduated in the last 4 years.

Mentors should have minimum five years professional experience.

Cost: Members – FREE; Non-Members – $20.

When: Deadline for Registration – December 23, 2011

Mentees: Apply by emailing your name, email address, and phone number to membership@upstatenewyork.aiga.org by December 23, 2011. After we review your information and potential mentors in your area, we will contact you with an invitation to meet your Mentor.

Mentors: Please RSVP to: membership@upstatenewyork.aiga.org by December 23, 2011. We will review potential mentor opportunities in your area and contact you with an invitation to meet your Mentee.
