Call for Nominations to the Board of Directors
The AIGA Upstate New York Chapter is currently seeking nominations for open board positions. Help shape the future of our chapter by nominating yourself or another community leader. We are seeking dedicated design professionals with a passion for advancing our craft and strengthening our creative community.
These positions are critical in ensuring the continued growth and stability of our chapter. It’s guiding principle is one of leaving the chapter stronger at the end of one’s term than it was in the beginning.

There are two ways to be nominated for AIGA Upstate New York board positions:
Peer: Anyone who feels a particular individual will enhance the quality of leadership of the board may nominate that person.
Self: Anyone willing to participate and to fulfill the obligations of the open executive positions may self-nominate.
The nominee need not be a member at the time of nomination, but will be required to join AIGA if elected to a board position. For more information about membership levels, visit aiga.org/belong.

Treasurer
Provides oversight for all financial related material for the Chapter.

Secretary
The Secretary facilitates communications within the Board. He/She acts as a historian/archivist for the Chapter, records meeting minutes and oversees all Chapter documentation.

Membership Director
Oversees the growth of our Chapter’s membership. He/She is responsible for encouraging new memberships, as well as, helping with the needs of our existing membership

Education Director
Promotes and expands regional student and faculty participation in the design community, serving as a liaison between AIGA National, AIGA Upstate New York and Student Group Faculty Advisors.

Programs + Events Director
Works with all Board members to plan an annual calendar that reflects the Chapter’s activities. Develops and produces quality and profitable programming along with overseeing our current programs.

Program Coordinators
Currently launched chapter programs – CMYK, Creative Dialogues, SPARK, Portfolio Events, NYSoD needs an individual to oversee, set dates and coordinate with cities.

Communication Coordinators
Social and/or web savvy folks to maintain our social media and website presence. Includes upcoming events, community events, and inspiration.
