President’s Letter

Dear Creative Community,

We are elbows deep in planning events! We continue to be committed to providing programming for our members throughout the large geographic area we serve. We’ve held studio tours, web-based programming, mentor program and portfolio workshops since June 2012.

Closing the programming year, we have Mikey Burton coming to Utica on March 21, Portfolio Workshop on April 8 to a city near you, Nikki Villagomez to Syracuse on May 1 and yet another Creative Dialogues. We may have another event up our sleeves but we are not ready to reveal yet!

Pricing has been restructured for all of our events to help increase the value of membership. We’ll be keeping member prices the same or lower, while charging non-members a bit more.

The ongoing challenge for our chapter leadership is to continue to provide relevant programming for our members and to reach out to designers who are looking for resources, community and inspiration. In our rapidly changing and continued uncertain economic times, I believe opportunities for success are still abound. The great sense of community that I witness amongst our members in the recent months leaves me quite optimistic.

The success of the chapter would not be possible without the dedication of our Board of Directors, Coordinators and Volunteers. We are truly grateful for the support from our sponsors. My thanks goes out to all of them for their amazing continued efforts and support.

Yours,

Sarah Burns
